Case Number 07-362157 in the Superior Court of the State of California in and for the County of Alameda
Plaintiffs SHERRY GENDELMAN, MATTHEW HALLINAN, WARREN MAR, SUSAN McDONOUGH, and JOHN VAN EYCK ("Plaintiffs") complain and allege as follows (case link above)...
Because of a communications glitch with the printer in California, the Election Ballots have been delayed. According to the printers, the ballots will not be mailed out until December 4, 2007. Continue to look for the blue envelope in the mail after that time. By the nature of this delay the election will be extended into January.
Please take the opportunity to thoroughly read the candidate statements and VOTE.
Thank you for your continued interest.

The first run of the custom software to convert from the intermediate .csv format to the ChoicePlus Pro format produced obvious errors. A relatively quick, but untested fix yielded the preliminary results below. For the second time, the principal developer worked continuously through the night, this time producing plausible results by around 1:40 pm.
Director Hauptman writes:
We have extended the KPFT Local Station Board Elections for two more weeks, until November 30. Because the ballots (BLUE ENVELOPES!) were mailed from California a week late, and because we have received to date only 51% of the returned ballots necessary to make quorum and to certify our elections, our National Election Supervisor, Casey Peters, has recommended that we continue our LSB elections until the end of November.
This meeting is a special meeting called for the sole purpose of dealing with urgent matters related to the conduct of delegate elections. Previously noticed motions by Robinson and by Schroell (see below for text), along with any other time-sensitive motions related to the conduct of delegate elections will be considered.
An executive session will follow the meeting, to address any confidential legal issues related to the conduct of elections.
Candidate forums for this year's delegate elections are scheduled for 8 - 10 pm, on 8 October and 15 October. The forums will feature listener call-ins each hour.
(KPFA presented two more candidate forums in November, so each candidate had two opportunities to address the listeners.) Here are audio recordings for each forum:
