Incomplete nomination packets may not be corrected after the nominations deadline, except for the candidate questionnaire. LSB CANDIDATE STATEMENT You are required to submit a candidate statement in order to be placed on the ballot. Candidates who do not submit a statement will be disqualified. Each candidate is entitled to have a statement of 500 words or less, made available to every voter with their ballot. Statements exceeding 500 words will be truncated. We will also post your statement on the election web page. (Note that your statement can be posted before you are officially nominated to facilitate listenersÕ ability to find candidates whose petitions they want to sign.) In drafting your statement, you may begin with your name, include your experience, skills, and the main theme you want to emphasize in your opening paragraph, as this is all many voters may read. Keep a positive focus on the future of Pacifica radio. You may list names of up to 5 of your nominators (members who signed your petition) with their verified written permission. Pacifica 2007 Fair Campaign Provisions for Candidates in Local Station Board Elections The Pacifica Foundation Bylaws require that every candidate for Delegate sign this statement indicating that they have read and understood these fair campaign provisions for the 2007 Local Station Board elections. Any candidate who does not sign and abide by these provisions may be sanctioned by the National Elections Supervisor up to and including being removed from the ballot or otherwise having his or her candidacy voided. No candidate may campaign using radio station air time, website space, email lists, staff services, equipment, meeting space or other Foundation resources not made equally available to all Delegate candidates in the same class of members. 4. No candidate may engage in any act of physical violence or threats of violence against another candidate or any member of the Pacifica community. 5. No candidate may use Foundation or radio station resources to publicly attack another candidate, station staff or management, or the Foundation. 6. Official Foundation or radio station logos may not be used on any website where reference to a specific candidate is made, either explicitly or via hyperlink to another web page. Candidate websites may not include the word ÒPacificaÓ or the station call letters or frequency numbers in the URL. 7.
