The Pacifica Foundation operates a fiercely independent noncommercial radio network that is truly powered by the people. The governing boards of all 5 stations are elected by Listener Sponsors and station staff. We use a democratic process of proportional representation known as Single Transferable Voting (STV). You too can participate in the governance of America's premier avenue for cultural interchange, unfettered news and the kind of free speech that our ancestors proudly fought and died for.
